Nancy Becomes a PhD Candidate!

Nancy successfully passed her preliminary exam after she joined Ault's lab for a year! Her study is focusing on single particle physical and chemical characterization of atmospheric aerosol. In the past year, she used Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), AFM-IR, and Raman micro-spectroscopy to study laboratory-generated aerosol particles and ambient particles. Congrats!

Prof. Ault Selected to Analytical Scientist's "Top 40 Under 40" Power List

Each year the Analytical Scientist selects 40 scientists internationally for their "Power List", in 2018 focusing on scientists under the age of 40 making waves in analytical science.

"The Top 40 Under 40 Power List returns to celebrate the gifted young scientists making waves in analytical science. Here we present the rising stars of the field (in alphabetical order), as nominated by our readers and shortlisted by our independent judging panel."

Prof. Ault was chosen for his contribution to analytical measurements of atmospheric aerosols using spectroscopy. One of the comments of his nominators was "Andrew has quickly established himself as a leader in developing and applying spectroscopic methods to study atmospheric aerosols – critical for addressing global health and climate change."
